Please note for there will be no BBs on Friday 8th May due to our Mother's Day High Tea event Whether you are pregnant, just had your first bub, or this is your 2nd/3rd/4th rodeo - we would love to welcome you to our Bubs and bumps group at the Duntroon Community Centre. Build your village, create friendships, and enjoy a complimentary morning tea while joining our safe and welcoming support group. Led by our volunteer facilitator we meet every Friday from 10 am to 12 pm during the ACT school terms.  This group is best suited to expectant mothers and carers with infants up to 12 months of age or when a child is walking and no longer happy to remain on a designated soft mat area. Siblings aged 1 to 5 are welcome to visit our Creche program on Fridays from 9.45 am - 12.45 pm (separate booking required). ***** Try our group, sign up as a DCC Trial member and visit us before purchasing a program pass and membership.  If you wish to continue to attend MB&Bs please join as a DCC 2025 VIP Member and purchase a 10-session program pass for $20. To help DCC direct 100% of fees to resources and programming, please pay by EFTPOS or cash in person to avoid an online processing fee. Please be aware that our staff and volunteer facilitators will be monitoring attendance and will follow up on this requirement.  No credits or refunds for the program pass will be provided due to cancellation for any reason. Duntroon Community Centre Creche The Duntroon Community Centre offers a creche service every Friday from 9:45 am to 12:45 pm during ACT school terms. Children are cared for in the playgroup room with our qualified staff, giving parents and carers a chance to relax and recharge at the Centre, use our hot desking spaces, or join our Mums, Bubs & Bumps group. Please note: Carers must remain on-site at DCC and be contactable throughout the session. To access this service you will need to become a 2026  VIP Member at Duntroon Community Centre | TidyHQ Before attending the creche, you’ll need to complete a registration form outlining the session's requirements and rules. No credits or refunds will be given for missed or cancelled sessions for any reason. Sickness & Illness Policy: To keep our little ones safe, children with infectious illnesses (e.g., colds, flu, COVID-19, conjunctivitis, diarrhoea, vomiting) or any other illness including rashes, worms, head lice, and ear infections cannot attend creche. We reserve the right to refuse entry if signs of illness appear during care. In emergencies, DCC may seek medical assistance, and the parent/guardian agrees to cover any associated costs.  If your child shows distress or discomfort—or needs a nappy change or toileting support—you’ll be contacted promptly. By booking, you agree to our sickness and illness and cancellation policies. Please note if you wish to purchase 10 weekly sessions we are able to provide you with an invoice to minimise fees to DCC. Duntroon Community Centre Playgroup The DCC Playgroup welcomes children aged 0–5 years and their carers to a relaxed and inclusive session each Tuesday from 10 am to 12 pm, during ACT school terms. Sessions are led by our volunteer facilitators. Come along and explore our facilities, including indoor playroom and shaded outdoor playground. Participate in fun, hands-on craft activities. Help yourself in our fully equipped kitchen with tea and coffee making facilities What to Bring: water bottle, snacks/lunch, hats and weather appropriate clothing, sunscreen Please note: DCC is a nut-free and smoke-free space How to Join Playgroup: Try our playgroup as a DCC Free member! Then become a DCC 2026 VIP Member at Duntroon Community Centre | TidyHQ Purchase a 10-session program pass for $20 (one per family). Session passes are valid until 10 sessions have been attended. To help DCC direct 100% of fees to resources and programming, please pay by EFTPOS or cash in person to avoid an online processing fee. Join the Capital Crafters Craft Group at Duntroon Community Centre! Capital Crafters is a friendly weekly gathering for Defence, veteran, reservist, and non-defence community members. Whether you're new to crafting or a seasoned maker, you'll find connection, creativity, and community in an inviting, social atmosphere.  Relax with a cup of tea or coffee, meet like-minded people, and share ideas while working on your own project—or try something new with our many organised craft activities throughout the year.  When: Tuesdays & Thursdays: 9:30am–12:30pm First Saturday of each month for all-day craft: 9:30am-2:30pm Sessions run during ACT school terms. What’s included: Term fees cover facility use, kitchen amenities, and maintenance of craft resources. Some activities, such as use of the quilting or Cricut machines or specialty materials, may involve an additional cost. Join DCC at Palace Electric Cinema to check out Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is an animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros., and follows The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which was released in 2023.  This film is rated PG (Parental Guidance Suggested) for action, mild violence, and rude humor. Movie run time is 98 minutes Ticket only options remaining to book! Join us at the Duntroon Community Centre for a fun-fulled school holiday activity - Paint Along with Pinot and Picasso. This creative session will bring together families from the community for a morning of painting and social connection. Participants will be guided through the painting process by an experienced artist creating their own masterpiece on a canvas to take home. While our painting workshop is happening in the playschool room,  non-supervising parents and younger children are welcome to explore our centre's playgroup room and playground. Lunch will be provided for all participants.  Details: Wednesday 15th April Time 9:30AM - 1PM Duntroon Community Centre All materials supplied and you will be taking home your masterpiece. Please register one ticket for each person participating in the activity Painters aged 8 years and over are able to participate with an adult onsite.  Our Playgroup room and Playground will be open for younger children to explore and play with adult supervision.  Painters aged 7 years and younger are able to participate with active adult supervision Parents who wish to paint along on their own canvas with their child need to purchase a ticket No refunds will be available for cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice. Celebrate Easter with the Duntroon Community Centre at our annual event at Duntroon House Gardens and Maze! The event will start from 11AM and will feature: Easter craft including decorate your own Easter headband/bunny ears Egg & spoon race and other games Easter hat parade with prizes! Easter Egg Hunt: explore the maze and designated area to find colourful eggs, trade them for a bag of chocolate eggs at the end of your hunt. The Easter Bunny has also hidden 4 golden eggs in the maze; find a golden egg and win a prize pack! Please bring your own basket for egg hunting! Pack a picnic blanket  and relax in the Duntroon House Officer's Mess Gardens after your egg hunting. Lunch will be provided. Please identify any dietary requirements upon booking.  You are required to be a 2026 VIP Member or Trial Member to register for this event. This fun and immersive workshop will get the creative juices flowing with the resin pouring down your board. Don’t miss out—secure your spot today! "Resin art is created when a liquid chemical epoxy resin combines together with various colour pigments and textures. This produces a blend of unique patterns and designs. The resin gradually hardens to a solid plastic as a chemical reaction between its 2 components takes place. Resin has between 45min and 1hr work time once the 2 chemicals are mixed together. Please buy a raffle ticket in our Easter Fundraiser to support the Playschools Sustainability program.  This money will go towards a new worm farm and some big books on caring for our environment. Duntroon Playschool Easter Fundraiser Tickets $2 each or 3 for $5 Please return tickets with money and sold or unsold tickets to Playschool by 2nd April Raffle to be drawn at the Duntroon Community Centre by the children on Thursday 2nd April at 10am. Winning tickets will be contacted on Thursday morning after the draw.
