Duntroon Community Centre Creche
The Duntroon Community Centre offers a creche service every Friday from 9:45 am to 12:45 pm during ACT school terms.
Children are cared for in the playgroup room with our qualified staff, giving parents and carers a chance to relax and recharge at the Centre, use our hot desking spaces, or join our Bubs & Bumps group.
Please note: Carers must remain on-site at DCC and be contactable throughout the session.
Please ensure your child arrives with sun protection, weather appropriate clothing and a labelled lunch box and drink bottle
To access this service you will need to become a 2026 VIP Member at Duntroon Community Centre | TidyHQ
Before attending the creche, you’ll need to complete a registration form outlining the session's requirements and rules.
No credits or refunds will be given for missed or cancelled sessions for any reason.
Sickness & Illness Policy: To keep our little ones safe, children with infectious illnesses (e.g., colds, flu, COVID-19, conjunctivitis, diarrhoea, vomiting) or any other illness including rashes, worms, head lice, and ear infections cannot attend creche.
We reserve the right to refuse entry if signs of illness appear during care.
In emergencies, DCC may seek medical assistance, and the parent/guardian agrees to cover any associated costs.
If your child shows distress or discomfort—or needs a nappy change or toileting support—you’ll be contacted promptly.
By booking, you agree to our sickness and illness and cancellation policies.
Please note if you wish to purchase 10 weekly sessions we are able to provide you with an invoice to minimise fees to DCC. Please email to request this.

Kids Cooking Class

Kids Cooking Class at DCC
11am-12:30pm
Join Leanne from Nutrition Australia for some hands on fun making sushi and nutritional smoothies at DCC.
The class is intended for children aged 8+ years. Without parent participation, children will independently prepare their own lunch of sushi and fruit smoothies.
Parents or guardians are required to sign children in at the commencement of the class, attend a brief introduction, and remain onsite during the workshop.
At the conclusion of the session, families are invited to reconvene to enjoy and share the food prepared by the children.
Please register one ticket for each person participating in the activity
No refunds will be available for cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice.
If you are unable to see available tickets please ensure you are registered as a 2026 DCC member and logged in to your TidyHQ account.

Capital Crafters: Beginners/Childrens Quilting Workshop
Duntroon Community Centre

We invite children aged 7 - 16 year old, and beginners to join our Capital Crafters group at Duntroon Communtiy Centre to learn how to make a beautiful handmade quilt.
Guided by talented and experienced quilt makers, participants will make a quilt similar to the one in the picture above. Parental supervision is required (older teenage children's supervision can be negotiated prior to the day) and feel free to bring your sewing machine along should you like to, however you are able to book the use of one of our machines should it be required prior to the day.
All materials are included in the ticket price, including quilting using our quilting machine. Please note that the colours and patterns may vary from the quilt pictured.
Lunch and morning tea will be supplied on the day. Please advise any dietary requirements upon booking.

Kingpin: Bowling and Arcade

Celebrate National Families Week with DCC! Gather your crew and join us at Kingpin Canberra for an afternoon of bowling, arcade games, food and quality family and friends time.
Your ticket includes 1 game of bowling in a shared lane of up to 6 other DCC community members, 1 hour of arcade time on red and yellow machines as well as food to share.
Please indicated any dietary requirements upon booking, please specify the number of people who have dietary requirements if booking more than 1 ticket.

Mother's Day High Tea

The Duntroon Community Centre and Capital Crafters would love to invite you to our annual Mother's Day High Tea! Take some time out to connect with mums, partners and people while enjoying a beautiful morning tea and be celebrated for all that you contribute to our community and your families! All members are welcome to join us.
There will be a lucky door prize and raffle drawn on the day with prizes donated by the Capital Craft Group. Raffle tickets will be available at DCC prior to and during the event. All attendees will also receive a gift donated by our Capital Craft group.
Please advise any dietary requirements upon booking your ticket.
Please note this event is a seated High Tea experience and is not appropriate for children to attend. Babies in arms are welcome.
Our Creche program is available for children aged between 1 - 5 years. They will be cared for in the adjoining playgroup room and playground with our wonderful carers. Separate booking required.

MyTime is a FREE peer support program for parent and carers of a child with a disability, chronic medical condition or other additional needs including developmental delay.
Gain access to exclusive information and resources through your MyTime facilitator.
Build your village of support with likeminded families that understand.
Develop confidence in your parenting or carer journey.
Play Leaders will be onsite for outside play for all sessions including bikes, sensory play, water activities
and sensory bins.
