Duntroon Community Centre Creche The Duntroon Community Centre offers a creche service every Friday from 9:45 am to 12:45 pm during ACT school terms. Children are cared for in the playgroup room with our qualified staff, giving parents and carers a chance to relax and recharge at the Centre, use our hot desking spaces, or join our Bubs & Bumps group. Please note: Carers must remain on-site at DCC and be contactable throughout the session.   Please ensure your child arrives with sun protection, weather appropriate clothing and a labelled lunch box and drink bottle   To access this service you will need to become a 2026  VIP Member at Duntroon Community Centre | TidyHQ Before attending the creche, you’ll need to complete a registration form outlining the session's requirements and rules. No credits or refunds will be given for missed or cancelled sessions for any reason. Sickness & Illness Policy: To keep our little ones safe, children with infectious illnesses (e.g., colds, flu, COVID-19, conjunctivitis, diarrhoea, vomiting) or any other illness including rashes, worms, head lice, and ear infections cannot attend creche. We reserve the right to refuse entry if signs of illness appear during care. In emergencies, DCC may seek medical assistance, and the parent/guardian agrees to cover any associated costs.  If your child shows distress or discomfort—or needs a nappy change or toileting support—you’ll be contacted promptly. By booking, you agree to our sickness and illness and cancellation policies. Please note if you wish to purchase 10 weekly sessions we are able to provide you with an invoice to minimise fees to DCC. Whether you're a first-time climber or an experienced adventurer, this is a fantastic opportunity for families to challenge themselves, build confidence, and have fun together in a safe and supportive environment. With climbing activities suitable for ages 5+ and all abilities, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Come along, connect with other families, and enjoy a fun-filled morning of climbing, laughter, and adventure. MyTime is a FREE peer support program for parent and carers of a child with a disability, chronic medical condition or other additional needs including developmental delay.  Gain access to exclusive information and resources through your MyTime facilitator. Build your village of support with likeminded families that understand. Develop confidence in your parenting or carer journey. Play Leaders will be onsite for outside play for all sessions including bikes, sensory play, water activities and sensory bins. Whether you're expecting your first baby, have recently welcomed a little one, or you're navigating parenthood again, we'd love to welcome you to Bubs & Bumps at the Duntroon Community Centre.   Bubs & Bumps is a welcoming community for expectant parents and families with babies. It's a place to build your village, make lasting friendships, share experiences and enjoy quality time with your little one in a relaxed and supportive environment.   Each Friday during ACT school terms, we follow a fun 4-week rotating program, offering something different each week: ☕ Week 1 – Coffee & Connection Relax, enjoy complimentary morning tea and connect with other local parents through meaningful conversations. 🎨 Week 2 – Tiny Makers Create beautiful keepsake crafts with your baby that you'll treasure for years to come. 🎵 Week 3 – Play, Music & Movement Explore songs, sensory play and age-appropriate activities that support your baby's development. 🤝 Week 4 – Postnatal Yoga with Leonor (Balanced Yoga) Meet local professionals, services and community organisations offering valuable support and resources for growing families.   When: Fridays | 10:00 am – 12:00 pm (ACT School Terms) Who can attend? This group is best suited to expectant parents and carers with babies aged 0–12 months, or until they are ready for more active play. Need care for an older sibling? Our Creche program welcomes children aged 1–5 years on Fridays from 9:45 am – 12:45 pm (separate booking required).   ***** Try our group, sign up as a DCC Trial member and visit us before purchasing a program pass and membership.  If you wish to continue to attend MB&Bs please join as a DCC 2025 VIP Member and purchase a 10-session program pass for $20. To help DCC direct 100% of fees to resources and programming, please pay by EFTPOS or cash in person to avoid an online processing fee. Please be aware that our staff and volunteer facilitators will be monitoring attendance and will follow up on this requirement.  No credits or refunds for the program pass will be provided due to cancellation for any reason. Duntroon Community Centre Playgroup The DCC Playgroup welcomes children aged 0–5 years and their carers to a relaxed and inclusive session each Tuesday from 10 am to 12 pm, during ACT school terms. Sessions are led by our volunteer facilitators. Come along and explore our facilities, including indoor playroom and shaded outdoor playground. Participate in fun, hands-on craft activities. Help yourself in our fully equipped kitchen with tea and coffee making facilities What to Bring: water bottle, snacks/lunch, hats and weather appropriate clothing, sunscreen Please note: DCC is a nut-free and smoke-free space How to Join Playgroup: Try our playgroup as a DCC Free member! Then become a DCC 2026 VIP Member at Duntroon Community Centre | TidyHQ Purchase a 10-session program pass for $20 (one per family). Session passes are valid until 10 sessions have been attended. To help DCC direct 100% of fees to resources and programming, please pay by EFTPOS or cash in person to avoid an online processing fee. Join the Capital Crafters Craft Group at Duntroon Community Centre! Capital Crafters is a friendly weekly gathering for Defence, veteran, reservist, and non-defence community members. Whether you're new to crafting or a seasoned maker, you'll find connection, creativity, and community in an inviting, social atmosphere.  Relax with a cup of tea or coffee, meet like-minded people, and share ideas while working on your own project—or try something new with our many organised craft activities throughout the year.  When: Tuesdays & Thursdays: 9:30am–12:30pm First Saturday of each month for all-day craft: 9:30am-2:30pm Sessions run during ACT school terms. What’s included: Term fees cover facility use, kitchen amenities, and maintenance of craft resources. Some activities, such as use of the quilting or Cricut machines or specialty materials, may involve an additional cost. Duntroon Community Centre is excited to host our school age friends at Bounce Belconnen! Join us for a fun afternoon bouncing around and celebrating the end of term 3. We have booked a hosted group experience to guide us around the facilities.  Your ticket includes 2 hours of jump time, bounce grip socks and food to share in a private room. By purchasing this ticket you are agreeing to the following: We require more than 24hrs notice for any cancellations, otherwise tickets will be non-refundable. Parents/guardians must remain on site and are responsible for the supervision and safety of their own children for the duration of this event.
