Join the Capital Crafters Craft Group at Duntroon Community Centre! Capital Crafters is a friendly weekly gathering for Defence, veteran, reservist, and non-defence community members. Whether you're new to crafting or a seasoned maker, you'll find connection, creativity, and community in an inviting, social atmosphere.  Relax with a cup of tea or coffee, meet like-minded people, and share ideas while working on your own project—or try something new with our many organised craft activities throughout the year.  When: First Saturday of each month for all-day craft: 9:30am-2:30pm What’s included: Term fees cover facility use, kitchen amenities, and maintenance of craft resources. Some activities, such as use of the quilting or Cricut machines or specialty materials, may involve an additional cost. BRICKS 4 KIDZ® Holiday Program Incursion at DCC Please note this is a drop and go activity. All staff have valid Working with Vulnerable People checks and experience working with children.  Theme: Space Adventure Our 2-hour school holiday incursion is designed as a rotating LEGO® experience, allowing children to explore different building styles and activities. Children will be divided into three groups and rotate through the following stations: Technic LEGO® Build – Hands-on model building using gears, motors, and moving parts to explore simple engineering concepts. LEGO® Mosaic Station – Creative tile building where children design colourful patterns and themed mosaic creations. Creative Play Zone – Open-ended free build to encourage imagination, collaboration, and relaxed play. Each rotation runs for approximately 35 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for transition and pack down, allowing all groups to experience every activity within the 2-hour session. Our instructors lead and manage the rotations, ensuring the program flows smoothly while keeping children engaged throughout.
